ATPT Initiative

The Autonomous Transportation Public Trust Initiative (ATPTI) was launched in 2024 to develop a proactive strategy to thwart abuse and misuse of emerging aviation technologies known as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). The hope is that by establishing a framework early, we can altogether eliminate human rights violations in AAM.

Multi-stakeholder Initiatives (MSIs) are legal mechanisms by which we can address evolving challenges to human rights in a way that is often more effective than local laws. ATPTI draws upon the collective wisdom of industry, government regulators, and academia. We hope to establish a global standard for ethical AAM operations.

ATPTI Principles and Implementation Guidelines are modeled after one of the most successful MSIs in history, the Global Network Initiative. Similarly, we have developed an evolving framework for responsible company decision making in support of human rights. Through collective advocacy, we can prevent harm in the first place.
